Coach, mentor, facilitator, and leadership development practitioner working with clients from a range of settings and levels of seniority within and outside health and care.
An experienced coach, mentor, facilitator, and leadership development practitioner collaborating with clients from a range of settings and levels of seniority within and outside health and care. A former GP, he works within the field of leadership and has extensive experience of organisational and systems development. Matt’s approach is to establish safe developmental spaces for those who are responsible for leading organisations and systems. With a keen interest in the relationship between humanity, creativity, and wellbeing, in his role as co-chair of The Creative Health and Wellbeing Alliance he convenes environments where creative people from the worlds of health and the arts can meet and work together. He also provides strategic advice to those working to develop their thinking about systems working, and the role of primary care.
Matt establishes one to one spaces for people to explore the challenges in their lives and with their wellbeing, holding that space with kindness and gentleness, working in relationship to create the energy and momentum for people to deliver the change they want in themselves and in their worlds. He is driven to help make the world a better place, and to encourage people to notice the beauty along the way.
He believes we have five beautiful things available to us to make the world a better place: Words – the words we choose to use and the words we choose to hear; Relationships – our ability to create and deepen relationships; Courage – to consciously be the best version of ourselves; Choices – and what we learn from making those choices; Love – our willingness to offer ourselves to others to provide support to grow together.
Matt is a published poet, accomplished musician and a lover of nature and wild places.
