Angela is current CEO of a Housing Association based in the Northeast. Under her leadership the organisation has undergone significant organisational development to create high levels of trust through relational leadership. This not-for-profit social housing provider is known for its innovative approach to people development at both staff and Board level. This has been recognised through many awards and achievements and recently recognised through its IiP (Platinum category) UK employer of the year award. It has a strong reputation for its high levels of performance and holds top Regulatory Judgements.

Angela’s work experience is extensive having worked in several different types and sized organisations and at different levels, including at Board level as an Executive and Non-Executive. Currently her Non-Executive roles include, Chair of Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, and a Board member of the National Housing Federation and Mears PLC.

She is an experienced leader and understands the challenges of being a CEO in an increasingly volatile environment and the responsibilities of being an effective NED. She has personally worked with issues of gender and difference and has extensive experience of working with complex relationships and knows that the path to success is far from linear. She is deeply committed to personal development through exploration, curiosity, and challenge.

Angela is very committed to working with people to understand their issues and supporting them to find a way through. Angela completed a coaching and mentoring accredited ILM training programme in 2019 and since then has constantly practiced with a wide range of senior people.

She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and holds an MBA from Newcastle Business School.
