Resilience for Managers

This two-day workshop is for managers interested in exploring and developing better resilience around how to support their own wellbeing and that of their teams.

An increase in awareness and attention on mental health in the workplace can fast leave managers starting to feel overwhelmed and stressed by the increased variety and sensitivity of the conversations opening up within their team.  We want managers to feel empowered and resilient in handling these conversations, whilst still maintaining the effectiveness of the relationships that matter.

Questions might be arising in your workplace such as;

  • Whose responsibility is it when it comes to employee wellbeing?
  • How do I handle these difficult conversations?
  • If I get it wrong, am I exposed or at risk?
  • How do I manage my boundaries?
  • How can I leave work related issues at work and not take them home?
  • What’s the right balance between caring and getting the job done?

Building resilience enables adaptability and the ability to deal with challenges, increased stress and change.

In a desire to be a good manager to others, it can quickly feel like you’re giving too much in service of your team’s wellbeing and performance in the workplace.

In this two-day workshop, we’ll give you the resources to support the resilience you need to feel empowered, capable and caring as a manager, whilst still maintaining your ability to reach your own full potential.

The workshop is specifically tailored to managers in organisations who are taking a proactive approach to employee wellbeing.

Develop resilience

Manage boundaries, cultivate adaptability, maintain strong relationships

Enhance wellbeing

Wellbeing that starts with you as the manager

Support the people you care about

Learn how to help your team thrive

In our many years working with whole person wellbeing and through the members of our RAW Network, we’ve noticed a trend starting to appear in the manager communities of organisations.

With the welcome increase in awareness of mental health in the workplace, we are now conscious of an increase in pressure and stress on managers of teams.  It’s not enough to set objectives, hold the purpose and develop the team to perform to their best.  Managers now need to understand neuroscience, mental health conditions and know how to respond appropriately.  These extra pressures can increase stress on managers.  The irony is that a manager’s own wellbeing can suffer, in order to take care of the team’s wellbeing.

We believe there is an easier way to navigate these new trends; through better relationships, strong boundaries and good self-awareness.

In this workshop you will leave with an understanding of;

  • our unique whole person approach to wellbeing for individuals and teams
  • your resilience as a manager and how it’s different to the resilience of your team
  • the wellbeing triggers pulling for your attention
  • healthy boundaries and how to hold them in service of self and other
  • how to create space and a slower pace to reflect on your own style of managing others and how you might adapt this for your own wellbeing

It is not essential to have attended a Mental Health First Aid course prior to coming on this workshop.
