Julie Parker

Experienced coach with over three decades of practice offering a distinctive, holistic style that integrates traditional methodologies with embodied, somatic practices.

Julie’s focus is in guiding individuals through Life Transitions, helping them navigate the uncertainty of change to discover renewed purpose and meaning. She is widely recognised for her empathy, sharp intuition, and incisive questioning within a space that feels safe, grounded, and expansive.

Julie offers a distinctive, holistic style of coaching that integrates traditional methodologies with embodied, somatic practices. With over three decades of experience, her approach draws from her training as an Alexander Technique teacher and in Relational Dynamics Coaching, as well as her background in meditation and intuitive massage.

After earning a degree in Mathematics, Julie worked in investment finance and consultancy before transitioning into the field of coaching and personal development. She has since brought her skills into sectors which include Businesses (eg BP and Johnson & Johnson), private Healthcare (The Harley Street Clinic), the NHS and Higher Education. As an Associate at the University of York for over ten years, she has worked with Senior Executives, mid-career researchers, PhD action learning groups, and undergraduates. More recently she has also been involved in Interdisciplinary Research, and is passionate about bringing her facilitation skills to the arena of Environmental Sustainability. Julie has also designed and led coaching retreats in the UK and Africa.

Julie’s work has global appeal. In 2025 she has been invited to work at the following conferences: Regeneraction, Italy, The Transformations Community Conference, South Africa, The World Ethic Forum, Switzerland, Yorvoice and TCX Conferences in York.

Julie is an endlessly curious life adventurer, traveller and linguist, speaking Italian and French. She feels most alive in wild nature—body surfing in rough seas, sleeping under the stars on African safaris, white-water rafting down the Zambezi, or swimming in icy mountain rivers.
