This was a unique opportunity to work with a group of people who have a vitally important and sometimes unwelcome message to convey to a wider array of different audiences.
Professor Piers Forster is Director of the Priestley International Centre for Climate. He was part of the group awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for helping understand climate change.
Piers said: “We all felt it was some of the most worthwhile training we have done, managing to be both challenging and a whole lot of fun. The course gave us a useful set of tools for our day jobs – thanks to some nicely tailored and supportive instruction. And all in a great space with great food!”
The programme facilitators Corinna Powlesland and Oasis Director Glyn Fussell hugely enjoyed the process of helping talented people from the world of research and development find their confidence to be more impactful and expressive in the way they communicate.
Glyn said: “The programme uses the best thinking and practice from the world of theatre and performance and marries this with a whole person approach to development. It was an honour and a privilege to do this with a group concerned with bringing responsibility to the fore of public and business consciousness.”
