Full Circle
Back to How it works
Full Circle is a term Oasis uses to best describe a group of people that come together to learn through a peer-based inquiry approach, part of which will include giving and receiving honest feedback in a safe and supportive environment.
The purpose is to benefit the organisation they are part of, through developing and engaging more of the whole person.
This has the potential of being self managing, following an applied process of skills-based practice.
The approach, designed and developed by Yaakov Atik and Nick Ellerby, is inspired by:
- The Oasis Seven Stage Model for effective relationships
- Collaborative Inquiry approach, developed with John Heron
- Action Learning Sets, from the work of Reg Evans
- Creative Learning Circles, inspired by Christina Baldwin
- Action Inquiry, from the work of Bill Torbert
and underpinned by Whole Person Learning, supported and fostered through the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative.
The approaches organisations and business schools are taking to develop the next generation of leadership and management are changing.
Employees need to be equipped with the capacity to develop ways of working that go beyond the traditional skills and mindsets that have been required.
Learning to work with uncertainty, unpredictability, change and transition is called for.
The Full Circle approach is one of a number of human technologies for the 21st century Oasis is developing with businesses, influencers and individuals committed to working with their emergent questions.
