                Organisational Development

We work alongside organisations to make a real difference; helping key personnel extend their comfort zone whilst often facing and working with uncomfortable questions. Part of the challenge of the work is acknowledging there are no quick fixes in developing continuous and sustained improvements to ways of working and thinking in an ever changing climate.

Oasis offers a holistic approach to organisational development and strategic thinking; designed to suit the needs of the organisation and those individuals and teams within it based upon both the content and context with which they work.

We work with a diverse range of organisations both in terms of size and sector. However, all our clients have the same reason for coming to us - they recognise that traditional solutions have limited success and are looking to initiate collaborative and innovative working practices and approaches to learning.

For over twenty years we have developed a depth of understanding, experience and frameworks for effective application in key areas. These include:

                • Shaping and Facilitating Whole Organisational Development
                • Developing People, Processes and Projects
                • Facing Human Relations Questions
                • Programme Cancellation & Postponement Details

Above all, we bring a commitment to relationship, context, learning and diversity whilst engaging with organisations to successfully develop themselves, their future and the people and communities connected to them.

Quotes from CEO's, MD's and Managers

Oasis helped us take a long hard look at what we wanted to do as an organisation. It's not a quick fix but certainly helps you ask the right questions.

Charlie Hughes - Group Chief Executive, North Star Housing Group

Our organisation was suddenly thrown together in response to an external funding opportunity during 2002. A 'Management Board' somehow emerged but shortly after began to encounter a range of potentially catastrophic issues due to a lack of vision and strategy, parochialism, lack of trust, an old fashioned blame culture and weak governance arrangements.   Following a holistic 'Board Development Programme' the group really 'moved' and have recently been designated one of the few excellent partnerships nationally. The Oasis approach was plausible, flexible and ultimately delivered on an extremely challenging developmental agenda.

Russell Morgan - Neighbourhood Programmes Manager,  Easington Colliery & Horden Neighbourhood Management Pathfinder

Impact Housing has worked with Oasis for 9 years, developing all aspects of our organisation as it has grown- from practitioner and manager development, to mentoring and change agent work, to, latterly, work on collaborative leadership. There has always been a strong congruence between the ethos of our 2 organisations and the Oasis approach continues to be one of our key organisational principles.

Mike Muir - Chief Executive, Impact Housing Association

YWCA England & Wales has worked with Oasis as a development partner since July 2000.  We have valued their contribution on a range of topics including senior team development, manager development, and building a shared vision for YWCA for the future. We have also benefited greatly from the depth of their understanding of who we are and what we do.

Gill Tishler - Chief Executive, YWCA England & Wales

Home Housing worked with Oasis to create the "Developing Manager" programme in 1999, and between 1999 and 2001 over 100 managers and leaders in the organisation were programme participants.   I believe it to have been the single most important intervention that we made in the transformation of the organisation during my time as MD.   Six years after they took part, colleagues still tell me that it changed their lives, as well as Home Housing itself.

Peter Stott -Managing Director, Home Housing, 1998 - 2005
