The Oasis School is an ethical not-for-profit organisation focussing on the holistic development of individuals, of teams and groups of people, and of organisations through whole person learning.
We have four areas of work:
The development and practice of Whole Person Learningis central to our work and is offered in its clearest forms through many of our courses and programmes which are run from our base at Boston Spa or alongside partner organisations both in the UK and internationally. People use our programmes to prepare for careers as human relations practitioners in facilitation, leadership, management, one-to-one work and as a change agent or consultant, integrating with their own personal development. In addition the programmes assist individuals to develop their skills and understanding to enhance performance in their current roles. >>more
In our commitment to Social Innovation, communities, partnerships and organisations use us as consultants for longer term development when engaging with culture change, significant transitions or reviewing their direction. We are often asked to collaboratively design and implement development processes such as collaborative inquiries, governance development, live research, peer learning groups, strategic futuring etc. Often the starting points are similar to those taken when exploring organisational development. >>more
Oasis Peoplecare is an excellent one-to-one development and counselling service, available nationally to organisations engaged in well-being and employee performance. We offer whole organisation responses that their staff can access to talk through issues or concerns and work out their next steps. Additional complementary and blended services are available. Also through Peoplecare we offer a 1-1 executive mentoring and development service.
Transpersonal Development brings into focus work we have been involved in for over twenty years. As the world and those within it search for a deeper meaning it raises questions and experiences that individuals can often struggle to make sense of. >>more
Across all our work we aim to disseminate learning through the written word and this manifests through Oasis Press.>>more
Priorities for Influence
Every four or five years we review what we consider are the critical emerging global themes, and out of this decide where we can be of most influence and impact through our contribution.
Developing Globally Responsible Leadership
Promoting Planetary Citizenship
Developing Collaborative Cultures
Awakening Consciousness
In addition, the Oasis Development Education Foundation (charity registration number 1075693) works alongside, and receives support from The Oasis School. The purpose of ODEF is to seek out and respond to people and organisations who focus on issues affecting active citizenship, particularly in relation to women and children. >>more
