Quality assurance procedures

All consultants, practitioners, facilitators and executive developers who work with Oasis undergo a rigorous mutual interview process in order to practice within the Oasis community.
Co-directors, associates, staff, facilitators, consultants and one-to-one executive developers all also undertake a self and peer assessment process on a yearly basis.
Those we work with have a high level of self awareness, skills and experience and a commitment to their on-going development.
Find out more about our way of working:
Self and peer assessment
Self and peer assessment is a significant element of the Peer Principle – a fundamental aspect of the approach which underpins all of our work, and which has been rigorously developed and applied in practice over the last 20 years.
The process involves identifying suitable criteria to report on effective competence, devising a means to evaluate performance and agreeing how to make claims of competence that can be understood in different contexts.
Within the assessment process practitioners review their practice, key issues, achievements, competencies and future intentions.
This is witnessed, challenged and validated by their peers.
The process encourages self management and self evaluation.
It gives an opportunity to check out our own understanding of our work with those who have direct experience working with us.
Records of the date of assessments and a statement of competence are kept.
Supervision
All human relations practitioners who work with Oasis undertake regular supervision.
Supervision is a reflective opportunity to review progress and consider the impact of work upon oneself with the impartial contribution of someone who is not directly involved in the outcome.
It is a collaborative process that encompasses monitoring, developing and supporting individuals in their roles to ensure they are developing and addressing the needs of the client.
