I bring ‘in the swamp’ experience, having held director and governance positions.
I have a commitment to sustainability, entrepreneurship and delivering ‘human scale’ strategic processes for individuals, teams and organisations.
Freedom, personal development, human relations, working with the future and choice underpin my approach – developed through relationships with good mentors.
The last 20 years as a co-director of the Oasis School of Human Relations has involved being a lead consultant on how to influence, shape and create sustainable and inclusive futures and cultures.
Both nationally and internationally I enjoy (if that is the right word) working with issues of responsible leadership, Whole Person Learning and developing organisations of tomorrow that bring together public, business and third sector influences.
My educational background encompasses psychology, education, strategic change agency, counselling and developing learning relationships.
I have been a lecturer and facilitator in higher education and currently advise, co-design and deliver leadership processes in public, private and third sector settings.
Executive Development
With developing the whole person at the heart of any learning relationship I aim to work with those who are open to exploring and working with their questions – as they arise within themselves and from the wider world they live and work within. I consider effective executive mentoring an aspect of social change.
I see the way a person’s context influences their decisions as subtle and complex, going beyond what is visible and taken for granted.
How people understand, interact and negotiate with the world around them, openness to discovery and pausing for reflection, as well as shaping approaches that enable change, all are part of the mentoring process, together with sufficient time.
Application in practice to make a genuine difference is fundamental to my contribution. This is informed by my work as an organisational development consultant, team facilitator and company director involved in real-time issues and challenges.
