I qualified as a social worker in 1994 and since then have worked extensively in the public and voluntary sector.

I have been in management roles for 12 years, the last four in a senior management capacity for a large national charity.

I have experienced the ‘head’ and ‘heart’ of organisations and have developed an informed understanding of what this means for the workforce and senior managers.

My area of specific interest is developing teams and individuals particularly those who are grappling with the uncertainty and insecurity brought about in times of significant change.

I thrive on working with partnerships to develop their vision for the future and their purpose in being together and drilling down to the impact of staff on the ground and what the whole partnership needs to embrace to be a success.

I have experience of being a coach and a coachee and value both roles enormously – the importance of time to sit, reflect, understand and achieve clarity of purpose and direction should never be underestimated! I value people being happy in their work (if realistic and attainable) based on my belief that happy people are productive people.

I am a reflective and action-orientated professional with a keen interest in developing self and others, teams and partnerships.
