Janice’s background includes working for charities, not-for-profit organisations, government and politics at both a local and national level and as a manager with a local authority.

She has been involved in politics at local and national level, as a member of Harrogate Borough Council for five years and Knaresborough Town Council for 13 years, and was selected as Yorkshire representative for Emily’s List.

She also has experience as a community development manager within adult learning services.

Her association with Oasis spans 15 years, initially as a participant, including a two-year diploma in the Practice of Counselling and the Management of Change, and Developmental Alliance – a six-month certificate in coaching, mentoring and supervision.

More recently she has run Stress Management programmes in large organisations on behalf of Oasis.

She now runs Where Do I Go From Here? and Working with Others, as well as her private practice in counselling and coaching.
