She has been an Oasis associate since 2007.
Benita works with a diverse range of clients, developing people and organisations from within the public, not-for-profit and business sectors.
As a facilitator and coach she is committed to encouraging a creative learning environment in which people are inspired, empowered and stimulated to increase their capacity to take ownership of their strengths and potential.
Benita’s focus is working in a way that introduces leaders and teams to develop leading-edge ways of thinking, access a deeper learning that can create change that serves the highest possibilities of the organisation, the individual and the wider community.
Benita is a member of the Oasis Executive Development Forum which offers one-to-one coaching, mentoring and development to senior leaders across Britain. She has developed a special interest in working with individuals and groups managing organisational and personal transitions.
Benita brings a wealth of previous experience as a director, manager, and applied practitioner working in the Catering Industry and Social Care.
For over 15 years she has worked as a consultant, facilitator and coach in the commercial, not-for-profit and public sector. Her background includes education, humanistic psychology, physical therapy, counselling and lecturer and facilitator in higher education.
Whole person learning is at the core of her approach. She seeks to work in a way that supports trust and collaboration, encouraging people to utilise and identify strengths and abilities. She recognises the importance of taking time out to slow down and think, stepping back from the fast pace to clarify and gain insight, before finding ‘first steps’ towards action that is both authentic and sustainable.
Relationships are at the heart of her work with individuals, teams, senior managers and boards. She recognises that when people engage at a deeper level of learning within themselves and with those around them, their confidence and ability to transform complex issues increases.
She relishes the opportunity to work with individuals and teams, facilitating their own unique creative thinking that contributes and is key to creating emergent and sustainable change that serves the highest possibilities of the individual, the organisation and the world beyond.
