What is Human Relations?

Back to FAQs

When Oasis began it was thought that what people expected of one another in their relations was fairly predictable.

We have learnt that our human relations are constantly adjusted and redefined.

What does it mean to be a parent? What does it mean to be in relationship? How much do I have to give or give up to work here? How do you act toward someone from another culture? How far is it acceptable to retain the right to…? These are the kind of questions the modern citizen regularly faces.

A Human Relations approach recognises that first and foremost we are on the planet as people; and people only fully become people in relation to other people, the planet and the wider world.

It is how we relate to our environment and other people and how they relate to us that provides the basis of our wider understanding of life and purpose.
